Awareness raising video
Lo&Behold were asked to create a film to raise awareness of sudden infant death syndrome for Derbyshire County Council in conjunction with Derbyshire NHS trust.
Rachel faced every parent's worst nightmare when her son stopped breathing in her arms. Without CPR knowledge, she was powerless to help him, and tragically lost him that day. Now, Rachel is dedicated to raising awareness of the vital importance of knowing infant CPR.
Project delivery
We completed this powerful piece with a single day shoot at our Nottingham-based studio, where Rachel came to share her story.
We recognised that this was a deeply personal narrative, and needed a strong visual anchor to centre around. Rachel brought along Cosmo, her son Rowan's favourite toy, and we knew immediately that this was our focal point. By weaving Cosmo into every shot, we symbolised Rowan watching over his mother as she told their story.
Working on this emotive and wonderful project was an absolute privilege for our team, bringing together something meaningful for both Rachel and the NHS trust. The feedback and impact it has generated so far has been phenomenal.
